What's this?
Zero
Waste
Trail

The Zero Waste Trail is an interactive educational path located in Budapest’s 11th district, in the garden of the Humusz House. It is a renovated and reimagined version of the former Waste Trail, placing even greater emphasis on the often-overlooked topic of waste prevention.

For the full experience, visit the educational trail in person during the Humusz House opening hours (Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.). Guided tours for groups—such as schools, companies, or friends—can be arranged by appointment. The tour will be complemented by awareness-raising tools and interactive activities to help participants learn more about waste management and zero-waste lifestyles in a hands-on way.

School groups can register using this link.

The trail exists not only in the physical world but also in digital form—explore it online now to find exciting information and recommended content for each stop.

We’ve created a guidebook to help you navigate and engage with the trail independently, allowing you to reflect on your own habits. The printed version is available from the staff during opening hours, and it can also be accessed online.

Visit us, walk the trail, and discover the other treasures hidden in the garden!
